Hi everyone! Still a newbie with this blogging… and trying to figure out what my blog theme and target audience should be. Bc that’s definitely the advice I’m getting when it comes to starting a new blog. But is it really so bad if I stay theme-less and target-less?
I simply just want to write about whatever inspires me at the time. And that can be quite random. So perhaps my target audience are the folks that are totally good with that. 🙂
But you definitely don’t have to worry about me saying anything controversial, as that’s not really my style. So this can be a safe space from that if that’s what you’re looking for. Probably the most controversy I’ll ever stir up is that I stopped liking Pam and Jim as soon as they got married. You can fight me on that.
Anyhow, just a little extra insight into what my thoughts are regarding this blog… Hope you all are having a great day!
So I’ve been having this weird headache in the back of my head, close to my neck. It’s not throbbing, but constant. Nothing relieves it – not caffeine, not pain meds, not sleep. I could actually still feel it while I was asleep! How is that even possible?! And it’s lasted an entire week.
I’ve never had a headache like this before. A “normal” headache for me is a throbbing pain in the front of my head, close to my eyes. It’s usually caused by stress and/or high blood pressure. And I can relieve it numerous ways.
I’m actually all better today (finally!) and I’m stumped as to what happened and why. And I’d love to prevent it from ever happening again.
I actually had an appointment with my doctor today. I made the appointment on Tues when I was feeling unwell. But the soonest they could see me was today and I woke up perfectly fine. Lol, figures.
They ran labs on me and everything came back normal. My blood, my blood pressure, and my urine all were within normal range.
So… I have no answers today folks. Doctor says if it happens again that I can get a brain scan. Wow, that seems intense but ok. Hopefully it won’t happen again.
Have you guys experienced a mystery headache like this before? Low, back of the head, persistent, etc… What resolution did you get?
Hi everyone! There was a re-post button on this blog post by Jennifer Guerrero, and I’ve never done that before so I wanted to check it out and see how it worked. Hopefully the link back to her site works. Plus, this dish looked amazing and I wanted to share. I hope this re-posting stuff is ok. Do you all like when people re-post or no?
One thing that’s been happening in my house since the lockdown started is that I’ve been leaving the TV on in the background while I work from home.
And some things will catch my attention better than others… such as DNA test results, lie detector test results, or Dr. Phil getting onto a disgruntled teenager. Lol.
I just don’t like working in complete silence. For some reason that doesn’t make sense, I can’t focus or concentrate in silence. It’s like, the quiet makes my mind wander. But if there’s a potential distraction going on instead – for me to half-pay-attention to – then I can accomplish my work task at hand.
Funny that I’m the same way about falling asleep, as I need the TV on. I don’t have to be watching it actively, it just has to be on. Quiet and stillness is not my friend at bedtime.
I know it’s weird. I’m just wondering if anyone else is the same way. But definitely don’t start doing it if you’re not already, bc everything I’ve read on the internet about it says sleeping with the TV on is bad.
Hi everyone! Like most of us, the majority of our favorite entertainment options have been a no-go this summer. Our concerts have been cancelled, as well as our beach trip. And our regular Saturday matinee movies are closed.
But one thing that’s been extremely entertaining to both myself and my kid, and has successfully gotten us out of the house almost everyday, has been the PokemonGo game we’ve downloaded on a cell phone.
We get out everyday and drive all over our city looking for these Pokemon and collecting items. If it’s nice outside and we can avoid people then we park the car and walk around too. But otherwise we just play in the car and still have fun.
I just love it bc I hate feeling like I’m stuck in the house.
Anyway, I just wanted to share this in case you guys are running low of ideas to keep yourselves from going stir-crazy at home. Kids love it too.
I grew up in the 80s and I swear I still love it so much. I just associate it with fun, happiness, no responsibilities, and the best music and movies ever. If quoting every line from “Back to the Future” was a superpower, then THAT would be my superpower.
I was addicted to Jem & The Holograms and I’m always shocked by how many people around my age don’t have a clue what that is. Like, how did you miss the greatest cartoon musical series ever made?! We only had 3 TV channels back then too, so C’MON!!!!
I’m not going to reveal all my Jem scoop right now, bc I want you to come back for more, but definitely let me know if you’re a fan too so we can keep in touch.
And I’m trying to plan out how to get it running full steam ahead as easily as possible. Below is a to-do list of my immediate ideas, but comment below if you have any extra ideas or feel like I’m missing something. After all, you all are the experts compared to me…
1) Complete my “About Me” page. [Status: mostly done]
2) Customize my blog layout and pages to make it feel like my own. [Status: mostly done]
3) Align all my social media accounts like Instagram, Pinterest, etc… They currently have different account names and icons that I need to covert so they all match each other. I think the professionals call it branding. [Status: updated Pinterest only].
4) Link all my social media accounts to this blog.
5) Find other blogs out there that I enjoy and follow them / leave comments so they know I exist. I don’t want to be invisible forever. 🙂
